"Emperor Penguin" begins in Detective Comics # 13
It has been confirmed by multiple sources that John Layman, winner of an Eisner Award in 2010 for Chew, will be taking over as scribe for the comic. Detective Comics former writer/artist Tony Daniel announced his departure last week, with his run ending in issue #0, this September. Layman will take over as main writer as of issue # 13 with new rising super star artist, Jason Fabok. Two will begin their run with the Penguin showing up in a storyline called, "Emperor Penguin."
